DIY boho hair wrap

Adorn your hair with these pretty thread creations! They are super easy to make and to take out. Just cut the knot at the bottom and unravel it.

You need:

  • embroidery thread

  • old necklace charms (optional)

  • scissors

Step 1

Cut your embroidery thread 2 times the length of your hair

Step 2

Plait a small piece of hair and tie it with a loom band, then tie a simple knot at the top of it, making sure not to catch any other hairs in with it as it will knot your hair

Step 3

Select the colour thread you wish to appear first, and put the other threads together with the plait and wrap the chosen colour round and round your hair and thread.

Step 4

When you want to change colour, simply put the thread you’ve been using with the others and start wrapping the new colour round. It won’t need any knots as it will be secured with the new colour.

To add any charms, just thread the embroidery thread through it, and continue wrapping the thread around your hair to secure it.

To make patterns such as double colours, wrap two colours around at the same time to create a spiral effect.
