English Fudge

Delicious creamy English fudge recipe! No need for a thermometer as there is an easy ice trick.

Ingredients

  • 225g brown sugar

  • half a tin of condensed milk

  • 60g butter

  • 60ml milk

  • Salt flakes

Method

1. Place a glass of water in the fridge, and line a small baking tin. If your baking tin isn’t small, use tinfoil to create a barrier in the middle.

2. place all the ingredients in a pan but the salt over low heat, and continually stir, until all the sugar has dissolved.

3. Heat on medium heat for 10 mins and stir to stop it from catching.

4. To test if it is ready, dip a teaspoon in the mixture and dunk it in the glass of cold water. Swish it with your fingers, and if it’s soft, and not too sticky it’s ready, if not, test every 2-3mins until ready.

5. Leave to cool in the pan for 10 min, beat, and leave for another 5mins.

6. Spread in lined tin, sprinkle with salt flakes and refrigerator-ate for at least 3 hours and then cut into chunks. Enjoy!
